When you see a good steward, you see someone who is truly thankful. At the heart of stewardship is a key called thankful. When we’re good stewards we’re saying “Father, I am thankful for what you’ve given me.” Everything we possess are gifts from God.
From our possessions (1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 11 Make it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we instructed you before. 12 Then people who are not Christians will respect the way you live, and you will not need to depend on others. ….down to the very bodies we carry (1 Corinthians: 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies). Stewardship is thanksgiving lived out. Worshiping God through practical means while simultaneously displaying His nature as a witness to those around us. Now that’s a multitasking Creator who desires to work through those who are willing. THE GOOD NEWS: He is not a cruel Master who doesn’t take care of those He uses. That would be bad stewardship. -Maj To Comment, Like the Facebook Button and follow the prompts.
